A discreet application of wood sets off ultra-fresh, cool and admirably pure aromas of red cherry and red pinot fruit that are trimmed in soft floral nuances. The mouth feel of the middle weight flavors is not as refined but there is first-rate volume and concentration in the context of what is typical for the genre. This is an outstanding Bourgogne and highly recommended.
