Pale, green-tinged yellow. Reticent nose shows some gingery reduction along with suggestions of lime, quinine and crushed stone. Then a bit less harmonious in the mouth than the Perrieres, with a creamy sweetness and strong but ripe acidity that’s not yet fully integrated. The sweet limey fruit is lifted by a high-pitched mineral element. Finishes tactile and long, with considerable finesse. This benefited dramatically with air, but I’d still give it at least three or four years of cellaring before pulling the cork.
